Drugs and the brain -animation

Drugs and the brain -animation illustrates how different drugs affect the brain. The animation shows in detail how alcohol, nicotine, cannabis, cocaine, heroin, ecstacy and amphetamines work in the brain. The program explains why some substances stimulate or relax and why many drugs are needed to be used in increasing quantities to get the wanted effect.

The animation was made by Dutch institute Jellinek as a part of the activity of European substance prevention work network Prevnet.
