Since its establishment in 1996, AddictionLink has been Finland’s most popular drug and addiction online service. Intended for substance users, their relatives and all those interested in abuse-related issues, the site provides useful information for healthcare professionals and students alike.
A number of services are also available in Swedish, English, Russian and sign language. The service is provided by the A-Clinic Foundation.
AddictionLink is sponsored by Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA). Previously, the service also received funding from the EU, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and the Finnish Centre for Health Promotion.The site is maintained by A-Clinic Foundation’s communications team, while responsibility for technical implementation rests with the team’s web designer.
